Azerbaijan is represented at international conference on cyber security

On May 15 - 16 it was held an international conference about cyber security. The delegation led by Faik Farmanov, Director of Cyber Security Center under the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies represented Azerbaijan in this international conference which held in Istanbul, Turkey that 15 countries participated. Tayfun Acarer, the chairman of Organizations of Information Technologies and Communications of Turkey, which is one of the main organizers of the event said in his speech that international cooperation has great importance in the field of fighting with cyber threats.

In addition to the participating countries, public institutions and organizations, administrators and non - governmental organizations from Turkey came together at the conference. On the first day of the conference special presentations were held on the topics of “Justice, Information and Investigation”, “Mobile Security”, “Standardizations on Cyber Security”.

On the second day of the conference Technical Delegates and CERTs representing from different countries demonstrated their skills and experiences. Thus cyber incident response team realized maneuvers in the form of answers to cyber scenarios, which have on written messages. In this part of the event Azerbaijani delegation achieved successful results. According to the results our delegation was awarded with certifications and a special award of ceremony.

Faik Farmanov, Director of Cyber Security Center under the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies noted that, this event has great importance for our country in order to increase international cooperation on cyber security.
