Threat at network equipments

As a result of researches in a number of network devices such as Brocade, Motorola / Metopia and Ambit were found critical security bug. This bug allows hackers to get authentication settings with access of SNMP service which is open to everyone when connecting to network equipment or serving network. Thus hackers send SNMP inquiries by using snmpwalk or snmpget utilities in order to capture the necessary information. Eventually by capturing passwords of WiFi devices it easily connects to these devices and can get usernames and passwords, card numbers of bank account and other personal information. Already three companies have become a victim of this threat. Researchers note that it can pose a threat for other devices. Infected devices include: Brocade ServerIron ADX 1016-2-PREM traffic regulator, Motorola / Netopia 3347 DSL ​​modems, U10C019 Ubee DDW3611 Ambit Wi-Fi  devices. We note that, Brocade equipment is used by large companies for the penetration at the internal corporate network.
