Vulnerability in the Internet Explorer 6 through 11 versions

US CERT is warning users not to use Internet Explorer 6 through 11 versions. Because mentioned versions are at risk. So, “remote code execution vulnerability”, which was detected in this browser has the potential to give hackers the same user rights as the current user. It means that a successful attacker, who infects a PC running as administrator would have a wide variety of attack open to them such as installing more malware on the system, creating new user accounts, and changing or deleting data stored on the target PC. Generally, users may encounter these attacks when visiting web sites, that accept or host user - provided content or advertisements. Microsoft noted that, they are aware of this emergency patch and in the coming days would provide the safety of users by solving the problem.

For protection from this emergency patch is important not to use the same browser, to change your passwords and to use antivirus program. At the same time Microsoft advises downloading and installing the Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit (EMET)4.1. Note that this utility works only on Windows XP SP3 operating system.
